13:00 Welcome and introductions Professor Andrew Douglas, Principle Adviser, ITW Networks
Andrew will provide a short introduction to the objectives of the experience sharing group (ESG) and will invite participants to introduce themselves and note the key issues that they would like to address through the session.
Andrew will then introduce the theme of sustainability raising the question:
‘How do organisations maintain their drive to achieve increased environmental, economic and social aspects of sustainability, particularly in relation to their supply base, against an ongoing background of economic, competitive and internal pressures?'
13:20 Experience sharing case studies: Three network members will offer an overview of their organisation’s approach to sustainability with a focus on one pillar in particular:
- Pillar 1: Social Martin Sykes, Chief Executive of Value Wales, the procurement arm of the Welsh Assembly Government
- Pillar 2: Economic Angela Porter, Group Procurement Director, ITV
- Pillar 3: Environmental Andrew Edwards, Head of CSR at Royal Mail Group
