Procurement capability is directly linked to the effectiveness of the supporting systems, the processes and the governance controls. This area of capability is often referred to as practice management and the session will explore best practice and learning to date on this increasingly important topic.

Practice Management; Improving the Procurement capability

The group will hold a round table debate exploring the practices and experiences of guests. The Carphone Warehouse and LV= will start the debate by sharing their experiences in the subject. During the session the group will highlight some of the key areas that Practice Management has been applied to, including:

 

  • Managing compliance to Procurement process
  • Demand management
  • Savings management
  • Reporting - performance, KPI's knowledge management
  • Process development

The focus will be on network group members sharing their experiences in these often overlooked areas of the Procurement Directors' responsibility
