Records Management for Anti Bribery and Corruption as part of Global Records Management Policy

Warwick English, Associate Counsel, Upstream International

UK Bribery Act now being pushed back due to business lobbying, emphasis is being put on
defining corporate policies.
Records management within ABC is an integral part of the wider records management
activity and Warwick and Susan will discuss how Shell is addressing the following with ABC
records management:

  1. How records management has been implemented at Shell as a global policy
  2. How ABC records have been defined and the retention periods agreed
  3. What roles / systems / measures are in place to ensure ABC records are kept and can be found when required.

  • What are the key things to do, regarding ABC records, in the event of an investigation e.g. privilege, preservation holds etc
