So yesterday i bought my first brand new set of golf clubs courtesy of Mizuno, and as far as being sold a product goes it was nothing short of a great experience that i would heavily recommend to anyone interested, just as i had been by complete strangers online a few days previously.
It started with a simple request for some product information posted on a web forum with regards to choosing which equipment i may be interested in buying, and led on to a large number of people singing the praises of not just the equipment but mostly the service, attention to detail and quality of result that came from using a specialist fitting service offered by Mizuno.
It turns out that by filling out a simple form on their web site i could get myself custom fitted with the very latest state of the art equipment for over an hour by a professional fitter who also works on the professional golf tour fitting the worlds best players. Not only that but there is no sales patter, because they will not sell you the clubs there, and best of all its free!
Having finished my session with my folder containing all sorts of information highlighting how much better a player i am with my new equipment, its exact bespoke configuration and all the details already at the factory should i wish to place an order somewhere... how could i not!
So as i await my new toys half of myself is just thinking about how it happened, and it was simple, independent people just like myself had enjoyed the great service and as a result couldnt help but recommend it. We can all learn a lesson here, no matter how hard you may try to sell your product, its your customers who do it best... new golf clubs anyone?!
